Mary Hancock and husband Antoine Hancock have 3 beautiful girls. After high school, Mary attended and received my education from South Carolina State University & the University of South Carolina. In 2002, looking for creative ways to teach her Entrepreneurship students helped birth the product idea for the Ultimate Opener. The idea became real and needed when her husband’s father had 3 strokes in one year, having to to do everything for him when the year before he could do everything for himself. They wanted to give him some of his independence back. Mary worked on this project for approximately 10 years before stopping to pursue receiving a patent in 2018.
