For this week’s broadcast of HomeTalkUSA’s “InventAmerica!” segment, Michael King and co-host Rita Crompton welcome Darrell Swink, inventor of the Ice Grill Brush, to discuss the 2024 National Hardware Show. Swink owns and manages a fireplace and barbecue company in Denver, Colorado, installing, maintaining, and cleaning fireplaces and barbecues. This experience gave way to the invention of the Ice Grill Brush, solving the problem of people buying cheap brushes that they constantly have to throw away. Swink is currently working on a 2nd generation version of the Ice Grill Brush that’s more environmentally friendly.
I currently own and run a fireplace and barbecue company in the Denver Colorado area where we maintain install service and clean fireplaces and barbecues this has allowed me to create the ice Grillbrush to help solve a problem with people buying cheap brushes that they constantly have to throw away. I live in the Denver area and I am expanding to a second product getting away from plastics to be more environmentally friendly and to where the product will last for years. I’ve always enjoyed solving problems and making quality products.
